Scott Rally Team Heads to Washington for Wild West Pro Rally September 6-7

CAVE CREEK, Arizona -- Scott Rally Team will travel north to Olympia, Washington to compete in the Wild West Pro Rally September 6-7 in the Group 2 Championship. Wild West will mark the eighth of nine national events in the SCCA Pro Rally Championship.

Scott Rally Team competed in the Ojibwe Forest Pro Rally August 22-23 finishing fourth in the Group 2 Championship. Scott Team ran a close race in the beginning but a minor suspension problem put the team behind causing them to lose time on the clock.

"Racing on these trails can be very unpredictable and all it takes is the slightest car problem to put you behind in the competition," said Scott. "We had AV Sport on board in Ojibwe and they did a great job servicing the car." Scott Team will be working with AV Sport the remainder of the season.

Scott is looking forward to the much anticipated Wild West Pro Rally. Scott considers this rally as home turf as he is very familiar with the course and its terrain. To help the team gain a competitive edge in the upcoming race new team member Claire Chizma will join Scott as co-driver. Wild West will mark the first race the two join forces.

"Claire will be an excellent addition to the team as she has the experience co-driving and she holds a great track record," said Scott. "As the season comes to an end its important for the team to finish these last two races on top and Im confident Claire can help us meet that goal."

Claire is a native to the Wild West Pro Rally. The upcoming rally will mark the fifth year that Claire has participated in Wild West. She has been co-driving since 1994, has competed in over 50 events and has completed a full National Championship campaign three times.

"I am looking forward to racing with Scott Rally Team and driving with Brian Scott," said co-driver Claire Chizma. "Combined with AV Sport, there is great potential for us to really make things happen in terms of points standing."

This is the third season for Scott Racing, which includes driver Brian Scott, co-drivers Claire Chizma, Dave Hackett, Ed Wahl, crew member Ed Hale and AV Sport.
