Las Vegas, Nevada -- 7-24 AirX, an air, ocean and truck cargo delivery company reknowned for on-time delivery across the U.S., revealed plans to support the Tombstone Paintball Widget Rally Team for the 2003 national season. Reported 7-24 AirX CEO Nick Korpal, "In addition to delivering air cargo world wide, we operate a fleet of trucks and trailers. We expect the Widget Rally Team to be a real contender this year and want 7-24 to be a part of their success." The shipping company will dedicate a special truck for transporting two race cars and the service van to rallies around the country. Additionally, Korpal has offered the sides of his trailers to the team as billboards for other sponsors to utilize.
"We first discussed the idea with Nick last December at the Ramada Express International Rally," noted codriver John Dillon. "He wanted to be part of a winning team and we needed his help in delivering the team to distant venues." The national rally season includes races at Pike's Peak, CO, Hillsboro, OR, Wellsboro, PA, Rumford, ME, Bemidji, MN, Shelton, WA and Houghton, MI. The season begins in May at the Rim of the World Rally in Palmdale, CA.
"Fielding a multi-car team has always posed logistical problems," reported George Plsek, whose Tato Motorsports Team has partnered with Widget and whose car will ride along in the 7-24 AirX truck. "Having 7-24 on board will make the job a whole lot easier, which will in turn make it easier for us to focus on rallying."
In addition to support by 7-24 AirX, the Tombstone Paintball Widget Rally Team is supported by Tombstone Paintball Park, Porterfield Enterprises, Shults Dot Com, and Sampson Communications. For more information about the team, visit www.WidgetRacing.com.
