Toronto, Ontario -- Toronto-based rally team brings the fight for OPRC Open Class to Dorset
The M-A Sport Rally Team will be competing in the 2003 Silverstone Black Bear Rally in Dorset, Ontario on June 21. This will be the second round of five in the 2003 Ontario Performance Rally Championship.
Leading into the rally, driver and team owner Martin Donnelly is placed eighth overall and second in Open Class in series points. A win at Black Bear would bring M-A Sport into first place in the class championship.
"Black Bear is visually exciting for the spectators," explained M-A Sport co-driver Jeff Hagan. "But what makes it fun to watch also makes it challenging to drive. The rally stage varies from twisty and technical to flat out over the double jumps. And the rally rewards consistency: there are plenty of rocks, cliffs and ponds right next to the road. To win, you have to not only be fast, but precise."
The M-A Sport Rally team is supported by Martin Air, serving the heating and air conditioning needs of customers in the Etobicoke area.
The Silverstone Black Bear Rally is a performance rally held annually and organized by the Maple Leaf Rally Club.
