aka Rush Ass Racing

We attended the RallyRight ProRally School this past spring without our car. We received our licenses and competed in our first ProRally, the Maine Forest, this summer. We started strong, making it up to 35th overall until we had a control arm break loose on stage 6. We limped through the next two stages. Our awesome crew (father and brother) got the car fixed and we were able to finish our first rally! Our next race was Black River Stages where we finished 10th overall and second in class! Future plans are to continue to learn with the Mazda and hopefully tour the US ProRally circuit within the next two seasons.

I started autocrossing in my father's Mini's and Porsche 914's about ten years ago. I have always been interested in any form of racing - mainly road racing and now Rally, Rally, Rally!

I attended Maine a couple of years ago and began rallycrossing with the European contingencies from the New York Region soon thereafter. My first rallycross was in a rented Neon - thanks Avis. I bought a used Mazda 323GT with 170K miles for $600. I replaced the worn rear suspension with a less tired 323SE set and began winning right away. After a year and a half, I decided to go all the way and turn the car into full rally Group 5 spec. My skill lies in driving mainly so I thank my father, Eric, and brother, Jamie, for all the hard work they help put into the car. Jamie hopes to enter the rally circuit next year with possibly another 323 GT!

Our car is a 1988 Mazda 323GT front drive turbo from the factory. Inside motor is completely stock with 180K miles on it! The turbo was rebuilt after Maine Forest as a precautionary measure as it was still pulling strong. The exhaust is 2-1/2" pipe straight through right from the turbo. We use a reprogrammed ECU and a Mazda MX6 GT intercooler mounted in front. The 6-point cage was built by CFR Welding in Connecticut. Other equipment includes Cobra seats, Terratrip 303, and Terracom. The suspension is ground control coilovers with KYB GR-2 struts. A new suspension is under development.

My wife Christine and I are currently employed by the Ski Market in Waltham, MA. I am a snowboard hardgoods buyer and she is an apparel buyer. Other interests include snowboarding, fishing, and most outdoor activities. I also like TV and my Sony Playstation - racing games only - helps with hand eye coordination.

Team 323's sponsors include: Mazda Motorsports, Piloti Driving Shoes, Vexel Brothers, and Sunday River Ski Resort.
