and Opens Entry for International Rally New York 2008

Forestburgh, New York — Entry is now open for all-gravel International Rally New York scheduled for October 31 - November 1, 2008. Rally Program, online entry, downloadable entry forms, Itinerary, Supplementary Regulations and downloadable order form for course notes (can also be ordered on line) are available at www.RallyNewYork.com.

The regular entry ends on October 2 and the entry will close on October 23.

Information on lodging, course maps, spectator information and other additional information will be published in September.

We have new, beautiful and smooth gravel special stages that are located in Walton, New York. The special stages in Narrowsburg are in very good condition now. In addition, they will be graded in September to allow them to settle for the rally at the end of October. Rogues Harbor special stage in Wawarsing is being improved at this time.

The new Super Special is at Fairgrounds in Walton where the Service Park will be located on Saturday. We have a new headquarters at Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center in Callicoon, New York. There will be again indoor scrutineering and overnight Parc Ferme at the Indoor Fitness Center. A new main building with restaurants, bars, dining rooms and conference rooms will open next week - it was entirely rebuilt after the fire last year.

International Rally New York is the final round of the 2008 United States Rally Championship - USRC - (www.usrallychampionship.com) with the Annual Championship Awards Ceremony. The National event consists of 94 miles of special stages. The total length of the two-day event is 410 miles. Top six teams from the USRC Pacific Division will receive the total of $12,000 in subsidies to attend the final round in New York. The entry fee for the National event is $935.00.

The rally also consists of two final rounds of New York Rally Championship - NYRC - (www.RallyNewYork.com). Each day is a separate round of NYRC. The entry fee for each Regional event is less than $500.00. There is no surcharge for entering all three events - the National and the two Regional events. The Year-End Awards for the New York Rally Championship will take place at the traditional Awards Ceremony in New York City area in December.

We will have our traditional three-pass reconnaissance with pace notes allowed. Competitors will have the opportunity to purchase organizer-prepared course notes same as at our previous events.

Early registration will start on Wednesday night. Reconnaissance will take place all day on Thursday. The day will end with the shakedown and with Ceremonial Start in Callicoon, New York. We will have two days of racing on Friday and Saturday.

The rally will end with Ceremonial Finish at Walton Fairgrounds following the last Super Special. The Ceremonial Finish with champagne-spraying ceremony for the first three crews in AWD category and the first three crews in 2WD category will take place at 5:00 pm. We will then return to Villa Roma for the finish party, event awards and USRC year-end awards.
