A Rallycross Double-Header for RallyCar!

MILLVILLE, NJ — Top action sports stars Travis Pastrana, Dave Mirra and Tanner Foust will return to New Jersey Motorsports Park November 6-7 for an exciting double-rallycross weekend.

There will be double the dirt, jumps and door-to-door racing for this final rallycross weekend of the year, with qualifying, multi-car heats, and exciting main races on both Saturday and Sunday when the Third Round of the Championship is split into two stand-alone events. Over the course of the weekend each day will be its own Championship round bringing the total to four 2010 rallycross events.

Fans can pack their cars full to take advantage of a $20/carload promotion for this special event as a thank you for a great 2010 season. Now there is more value for fans that bring their friends and split the cost to see some of the most exciting racing in motorsport. Visitors to New Jersey Motorsports Park are invited to see their favorite action sports stars and take in the rough-and-tumble racing for just $20 per vehicle, per day by downloading this coupon:

In addition, the races will take place on a new, compact course with twice as much dirt, and more exciting door-to-door action than ever before.

Teams and fans alike will also be treated to a radically new Rallycross configuration utilizing the "Lightbulb" portion, a banked section of New Jersey Motorsports Park's Lightning Track, giving drivers an entirely new Rallycross experience and challenge. The new configuration will be a 70%/30% split between tarmac and dirt. The course is much shorter than first two rounds, as well, being 0.6 miles long. The shorter length keeps the 6 car field tight from start to finish and promises to maximize rally car action at all times.

Pastrana, the Nitro Circus star and the first rider ever to land a double backflip on a motorcyle, and Mirra, a BMX pro and the most-medaled X Games athlete in history, will be back for Subaru Rally Team USA - and both will be gunning for two-time winner Tanner Foust, a double X Games Rally gold medalist in 2010.

Also returning to the action is Rhys Millen, 2005 Formula DRIFT champ, who is campaigning a 2008 Hyundai Accent originally built to contest the World Rally Championship. Fellow Formula DRIFT competitor and X Games star, Andrew Comrie-Picard, returns as a top field forerunner and hungry for a rallycross 4WD Class podium finish in his Mitsubishi Evolution 9.

The UK's Liam Doran plans to be back in his 2009 Citroen C4, and will be joined by other European Rallycross Championship contenders, including Frode Holte in a 2010 Volvo C30 and Norweigan Sverre Isachsen, who made his US debut at the X Games this year.

The all-wheel-drive cars are fast and nimble, featuring 550 horsepower engines and two second 0-60mph acceleration times.

The action resumes in two-wheel drive, too, with the fan favorite Ford Fairmont of Matthew Johnson, and Round 1 winner Josh Wimpey in the 1987 Volkswagen returning to do battle with a host of other talented drivers.
