LOS ANGELES, CA — After the first day of qualifying and the second practice session, the competitors know who sits on top before the live ABC Network television broadcast on Sunday, August 2nd (12:00pm PT/3:00 ET).

After taking one lap on the secured tarmac course the following qualifying times are set with Kenny Brack the fastest:

Group 1 (Drivers ranked 5-12 coming in, because the top four racers from last year are automatically pushed through the first round):
