Minneapolis, Minn. -- It is with great disappointment that Rally America announces that we will not be able to provide the special stages announced two months ago. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb/Rally will once again include approximately 50 miles of competition on the famed hill, but stages at other venues are not possible this year. The Hartsel Mountain properties we had intended to use were sold without consideration of our planned use (or the current use of the Colorado Hill Climb Association), and we simply do not have time to secure appropriate substitute venue. Rally chairperson, Beryl Ann Burton assures us that we are already working on possible venues for next year. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is an exciting and unique event, bringing extraordinary challenges to our drivers and their vehicles. We are committed to adding competition to the event to make its distance equivalent to the other National events in our series.
Registration information is available on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb web site (www.ppihc.com). Rally entries will receive additional information directly from Rally America (www.rally-america.com) including Supplementary Regulations within the week.
