NEDiv ClubRally Newsletter
October 2002

Hello Everyone,

My apologies for this 3rd quarter letter being a bit late, but there was some information that I wanted to confirm prior to getting this out.

But first, let me remind you that there are still events left to run this season! Ted Goddard and the New England Region have stepped up to organize the last two events of the season, the Great North Woods Rally (Berlin, NH; Oct 25-27) and Maine Forest Winter Rally (Rumford, Maine; Dec 6-8). From the sounds of it, the roads in NH are terrific, and we all remember the legendary winter stages in Maine. Make sure you get to these events, remember, workers are always in demand! Also, the year end awards will be handed out at the banquet in Maine, so even if you're not running, c'mon up to enjoy the party.

The two bits of news are:

  1. There will be a contribution to the trophy fund from Denver, based on the license fee increase we saw this year. Rumors are that it will carry over next year also.

  2. Next year, the insurance for Club Rallies will go up...a lot. So, expect entry fees to go up a bit as the organizers work to offset the increase somehow.

I'm still getting a lot of contact from people wanting to enter the sport, so it seems like the rally games, the TV coverage and word of mouth continue to help the sport grow. Keep up the good work!

That's all for now, see you at an event soon.
Greg Healey
